What is the main disadvantage of electronic charts?

AVCS contains only ENC data that meets SOLAS Carriage Requirements for use within Electronic Chart Display and Information Systems (ECDIS). Over 2,200 Ports covered in ENC – all the majors and most common lines covered berth to berth and a global coverage that far exceed all other ENC services available in the market.
