What do pitt dorms come with?

Living On-Campus Most residents choose to live in one of our residence halls, as these accommodations provide fundamental amenities: furniture, cable TV, wireless Internet, printing, vending, email kiosks, study and recreation lounges, fitness centers, laundry facilities, and mail centers.

Do pitt dorms have TVs?

Basic cable television is in each room/suite in residence halls and each bedroom/living room in apartment-style accommodations. Pitt is teaming up with Comcast to provide students living on campus access to XFINITY on Campus. Coaxial cables for televisions are available at Panther Central upon request.

Is laundry free at pitt?

Laundry Facilities All University housing buildings have washers and dryers that operate with Panther Funds stored on your Panther Card. Students using Panther Funds will be charged $1.00 per load of laundry. Students living in Fraternities will have access to coin operated machines and will pay $1.25 per load.

What size are Pitt beds?

36”x80”
University Housing provides residents with a bed, mattress, desk, chair, chest and wardrobe. All beds are extra long (36”x80”). All furniture provided must remain in the rooms during the year.

Do Pitt freshmen have to live on campus?

The Housing and Dining Services Contract is for both fall and spring terms. Panther Central assigns all first-year students to on-campus housing in residence hall style accommodations. Housing is not on a first come first served basis.

What can you not bring to Pitt?

We encourage students to pack minimally for the fall semester at Pitt….The following items are not permitted in your room:

  • Lava lamps.
  • Halogen lamps.
  • High-intensity quartz lamps.
  • Candles or candle warmers.
  • Holiday lights.
  • Space heaters.

Do you have to live on campus freshman year at Pitt?

Housing is not on a first come first served basis. Regardless of when your application was completed, a mass allocation is run in mid-July. All students who meet their individual housing deadlines and are completed at that point will be assigned via mass allocation.

Does Pitt State require freshmen to live on campus?

Pittsburg State University has a Campus Residency Policy that requires all first-year students to live in a university residence hall during their first two academic semesters. It’s why so many students choose to continue to live on campus.

How do you get a panther card?

To receive a PantherCard, registered students should bring a valid, government-issued, photo ID to the any of the PantherCard offices as identification. Faculty and staff PantherCards may be obtained after all Human Resources paperwork has been processed.

Can freshmen at Pitt have cars?

All Pitt-Johnstown students are permitted to have motor vehicles on campus; however, all cars must be registered with the Office of Campus Police. Parking is on a first-come, first-served basis, with exception of posted restricted areas.

Can freshman have cars on campus at Pitt?

Students who have vehicles on campus are required to register their vehicle and obtain a parking permit at the beginning of the fall academic term with Campus Police. Students bringing a vehicle to campus any term will register their vehicles at the beginning of that term.
