How reliable is an Argo?

Argo Engines are dependable and do not need repairs very often. If something does happen to your Argo engine, bring it in and let a pro handle your problem. Servicing your vehicle can be done by highly trained and certified technicians.

Who makes the engine for the Argo ATV?

Called the XPLORER XRT lineup, there are four different models of two-up Argo ATVs from 500 to 1000cc’s. At our first inspection, the new ARGO ATVs seemed curiously familiar, and this was because of Argos manufacturing partnership with TGB motors from Taiwan.

Will a Argo float with tracks?

If you have tracks installed, the vehicle cannot propel itself when floating. Keep the vehicle in shallow water, or install an outboard motor to propel the vehicle on water.

Are Argo ATVs any good?

Argo built some pretty bulletproof 4×4 quads, and it’s great to see that they added many models for 2018. They are very capable machines and are priced right to start taking some market share. The Xplorer XRT 1000 LE was our favorite machine, and it would work best for us out in the SoCal desert.

Are ARGOs good in snow?

Snow. Snowmobiles work best on hard-packed snow, but it’s easy to get bogged down on powder. With snow tracks installed, an Argo has extremely low ground pressure, letting it drive on top of soft snow. This makes driving on powder a cakewalk.

What engines does Argo use?

In 1971 ODG introduced a stretched version of the Argo – the 8-wheeler. With this introduction, ODG was able to offer a vehicle with the largest cargo capacity on the market. The first 8-wheeler was powered by a 440 cc Kohler 2-cylce engine.

Where are Argo ATVs made?

New Hamburg
Whereas the amphibious vehicles – sold in more than 80 countries – are all made in New Hamburg, the new ATVs will be built offshore by a contract manufacturer but be branded as Argos.
