How have animals and plants adapted to the Arctic?

By Isabella Ramos

How have animals and plants adapted to the Arctic?

Animals living in the Arctic tundra have developed adaptations including heavy winter coats, camouflage that changes color with the seasons, efficient body shape to prevent heat loss and the ability to build insulated tunnels underground.

How have plants and animals adapted to survive?

Animals depend on their physical features to help them obtain food, keep safe, build homes, withstand weather, and attract mates. These physical features are called called physical adaptations.
